What is the best way to ship snakes??????????

I am haveing trouble finding a way to ship animals. I currently use delta dash with no problems. However it costs about $60 to do it. Nobody wants to pay $60 shipping on a $175 animal let alone a $60 to $80 animal. What do you do? Many people want me to ship via post office priority mail. This is very cheap however is it not very illegal also. What does everybody else do?
