This is a pretty tough question. Most breeders don't bother with wild caught ratsnakes, unless it's one of a kind, and they're trying to establish a new species, etc. Through the years many people have tried wild caughts only to find out how hard it is to cure them of parasites and diseases and get them acclimated to a captive environment.
I normally will only buy newborn ratsnakes because I like to hand raise them and find out how good their temperments can be with lots of TLC. Sometimes I'll buy an older one with the intent of breeding and then raising some stock of my own.
I do have two varieties of Dion's ratsnakes, Ukrainian and South Korean, which are all wild caught adults. They were brought in and cleaned up by Lloyd Lemke, and sold later to me. In two years I have one good clutch from the Ukrainians and no fertile eggs from the South Koreans. Although they seem healthy, getting them to conform to your schedule, and getting them to mate, etc., seem to be difficult tasks. I'm still hoping, however, and will try again next year.
Hope this helped some.
