Need info on white sided everglades.

I had some of these offered to me in a trade deal. I would like to here the history on them. Are there any problems such as the ones we see in the lue Texas rats, bug eyes, kinked spines etc..
I have only seen photos of the babies, do they look as striking when they are adults And last but not least, what does everybody think of them(compared to the white sided black rat).
