A Suboc was the first snake I ever had. The only time I've ever had trouble feeding them is when they are babies. ...and then only occasionally. My remedy for the babies is to simply wash the prey item with pump hand soap in warm water. Rinse it thoroughly, dry it and they will take it from the forceps.
Adults are another matter. Just make sure that the temp is right and that they have a hide box that gives them a nice tight place to hide. I usually put the prey item on the top of the hide box in the evening and by next morning...it's gone.
Hope this helps.
