...I do have a lot of species, and I see this kind of behavior a lot. Some soak more than others, just because they like the water, such as the schrencki and the dione. It might also be soaking because it is escaping the heat and dry of your setup. Make sure they have a chance to cool down as well as warm up, and that ratsnakes have some moisture and humidity to go to. TC.
