We've worked with a few of these and have a small group that seems to want to thrive. Oddly, ours took thawed pinkies right off, but i have found that they absolutly do not want to be hot, which leans more to the water snake angle. I did'nt have any probs finding females when i purchased a group, but also my thoughts on working with w/c rats and relateds is to expect a 50% loss right off the bat so quarintine is a must.We started with 16 and have 4.2 that are doing quite well now. We did begin to clean these animals out after the first month in captivity.
