: : : .....is that they seem to always have so many parasites, etc., that they won't survive. So no matter what you pay for them, you're practically throwing your money away. Why don't you E-mail me in about a week or so, Ray, and I'll see if I can find out more about some captive born babies? Thanks for the compliment on the diones. P.S. I'm going to have a blast in Daytona!!! TC.

We did'nt luck into any gravid ones, hopefully next year. I don't think they look much like Bimacs. When they both came in during the early 80's I could see some confusion since no one was very familar with either of them. I guess at a quick glance, they might. Rufo's seem to have smaller scales giving a more shinny appearance, rounder snout and the eyes are set alittle more to the top of the head and larger in relation to the head than in my bimacs.

: : We've worked with a few of these and have a small group that seems to want to thrive. Oddly, ours took thawed pinkies right off, but i have found that they absolutly do not want to be hot, which leans more to the water snake angle. I did'nt have any probs finding females when i purchased a group, but also my thoughts on working with w/c rats and relateds is to expect a 50% loss right off the bat so quarintine is a must.We started with 16 and have 4.2 that are doing quite well now. We did begin to clean these animals out after the first month in captivity.
: : thanks Rob and Amy

: Hi Guys,

: Now that you have a group, you're going to want to breed them, right? Neither of your females are gravid yet, are they? Would like to see some more pics whenever you get them. Ques: Do you think they look like bimaculatas? Thanks,

: TC
