It does look very fertile. It was extremely soft when I found it like it was just laid. I picked it up and put it in the incubator and about an hour later it swelled up and hardened like a perfect egg. It did have the faintest amountof a yellow tinge to it this morning. Got me! I guess I will no in a couple of days if it goes bad or not.

This just caught me by surprise and I've never heard of such a thing

: my question is does the eggs look fertile ? my female splendida shed a couple of days ago and she also released some slugs. they where totally deformed (looks like bright yellow ball python crap ! hehe). she's still totally gravid and robust. i can even see the buldges from the on her side. if the egg that your female layed looks ok i would just incubate it and consider it a "early gift" :) hope it helped
