In Reply to: Taiwan Beauty Ratsnake eggs due, incubation questions posted by Dan on April 08, 2000 at 13:17:40:

Hi Dan
Dobble clutching is common among the Taiwan Beauties. I never had a fertile egg that didn`t hatch. There could be 2 problems:
If the eggs are kept to dry, they could have problems to hatch and you will find fully grown embryous inside the eggs. The shell is very thick.......
I have seen problems with the hatching rate with animals that wasn`t hibernated, but that is not always the case. Many people keep and breed generations without problems and without hibernation, but especially in the beginning (many years ago)the only people that successfully bred these snakes was the ones that hibernated them for a few months.
I hope it was of any help
Best wishes
Søe
