Is Elaphe obsoleta williamsi (the Gulf Hammock ratsanke) still known as such or has it been re-classified? I had one of these a couple of years back and she was the best natured snake I have ever owned. Big too, 86" when she eventually had to put to sleep due to a tumor inside the spine. The thing is I haven't seen anything about this sub-species in books newer than 1992. Has it been re-classified or is it just scarce in captivity (mine was sold to me as a Texas rat!!!).
Any info would be gladly received.
Many thanks. lee.
