I got my Japanese ratsnake around 9 months ago and he was mostly a good feeder and a great handler. But after being away for about 2 months I can barely get him out of his cage! The thing is that when he’s out 30 secs later he’s great but getting him out is the problem. He isn't an aggressive snake and when he has struck his mouth was closed (hope it was deliberate). He’s about a yr and a bit old now and around four ft long and was captive bred. The vivarium’s front opening so should be easier. I don’t have a snake hook but will get one if that’s the only thing I can do.
Really I just wanted some tips about how to get him out.
Thanks, Eliot
