It does have a very dark tounge. I'd call it black but the tips are red. Anyway, he's in shed AGAIN so I'll leave him be. He eats every rat I throw at him and that = good snake. I will assume he's an escapee to be in Smith County, TX. Infact I may go to the next trade's day and see if I can locate someone with similar snakes.
