If the two traits are mutations of two different genes, which is entirely possible, the the scenario would play out like you described it. The best way to prove it would be to breed the animal to a T+ individual. The offspring should all be T+ het for T-. I own a Kenyan sand boa that displays the regular albino trait while being heterozygous for the paradox albino trait... now there's a puzzle of which one will be displayed in the double homozygous offspring!
