Green semi-arboreal rat?

My fiance has his little heart set on getting a green arboreal/semi-arboreal snake. We've looked at Rough Green snakes and Red-Tailed Green Rat snakes, but I'd like some other options, maybe a kind that is a bit easier to find and care for. This will be his first snake, so I'm hoping for something with a pretty good temperment, and med-high activity level.

Any ideas? I'd like to hear people's experiences, and get a recommendation or two for a good breeder. A blue tongue would be a plus, btw;-)
