I just read your post again and realized you wrote "his first snake". When I first read the post I thought this would be the first snake for both of you.
But after reading over on the General Snake forum I got the impression you had a lot more experience than that.
My appologies. I just woke up from a great Sunday afternoon nap and was not paying attention.
Regardless, I still think E. frenata, E. prasina, or Rhino Ratsnakes would all be excellent choices.
