I am glad you have support during this time. Most folks I know do not understand the bond that can occur between us and our non-human companions, especially the serpent kind. At one point in time, I had over 18 non-humans living with me. In 1995, I got very ill and almost like on queue, so did my companions. All but 3 of us died that year. None of my family or acquaintances undertood the devastation I felt, but the few friends I had, and still have, did understand. I have no doubt your little friend was in the best place he could have been for his time to cross over. You cared a great deal for him, and still do, and I think he knew he was in good hands through it all.
