I have a pair of Texas Rats the female is a pig and loves to eat. The male how ever is fussy as can be. The only way he'll eat is to put the prey item in his cage and leave him alone. Don't look at him at all or try to sneek a peek because if he knows your there forget it he wont eat it. Strange isn't it. 5 pinkies might be a bit much at one time.
