I have had taeniura stay locked up for up to 9 hours before with no problem.
Most of my north and central american species breed for much shorter periods (usually much less than an hour) but will occaisonally stay together for a couple of hours or more.
It is possible for them to get stuck but it's best to let them work it out so to speak.
I would not worry about it and if you were to try to intervene you could do more harm than good.
Good luck and may your clutches be large and fertile.

:I hope someone's out there this late. My Climacophora have been locked up mating for well over an hour. I'm new to this but it seems inordinately long. I know Kathy Love's book says Corns stay together for 10-20 minutes on average. Could they be stuck? Has anyone heard of this?
