but maybe someone has. I would think you either want the silverish orange highlighted colors of the Texas bairdi or the darker orange color with grey or lighter head of the Mexican Bairdi. Crossing the two might give you the worst case scenario of both bloodlines. With bairds, you want to bring out the best in Texas traits and the best in Mexican traits through breeding. I don't think crossing the 2 would do that. I haven't seen an adult cross and it may look really nice if anyone has seen one. I have both Texas and Mexican bairdi and I obtained them as hatchlings. They look alike as hatchlings. They both have patterns that will fade and/or disappear going into stripes. The gray or silver gound color in the Mexican bairdi is a little darker than the Texas rat snake. At least the ones I have seen are like that. My Mexican bairds from this past season are loosing their blotches and the ground color is getting darker. I hope that helps Shaky

:Maybe 2 questions..
:1. What does a cross between a TX bairdi and a Mex bairdi look like?
:2. Is there a noticeable difference in TX and Mex hatchlings?
