This snake, also known as Copperhead racer, is commonly found throughout Asia from Eastern India all the way to China. It is basically diurnal and terrestrial with average lengths between 6-7ft.
Caging temps between 70-90 degrees and humidity levels of 80-90% will be fine. Due to its mainly terrestrial habitat, cage length is more important than height. Provide a hide box as radiatas are nervous and very defensive generally.
Hatchlings will feed on pinkies 2-3 days after hatching and adults will eat small rats and adult mice. Although they strike readily, bites are not that painful and over a period of time, they can calm down sufficiently to be handled. However, be aware that due to their easily stressed nature, persistent handling can cause them to go off-feeding.
Very nice snakes with really cool threat displays. Good luck and cheers!
Francis
