Yes. Well, maybe. Currently, they are considered Elaphe bairdii with NO difference between the locals. However, the two populations seem to be at least somewhat separated geographically and they DO look different as adults. Future research MAY (I think, should) separate them into separate subspecies. (Of course, if some idjit like Burbrink, who screwed up the obsoleta corn snake taxonomy, gets a hold of it, who knows what bullpuckey will come out....lol).
Unlike me, make sure you get pure animals if you buy anything from Hammack.....lol.
