A kidney problem is a reasonable hypothesis, except I am not sure how you explain the enlargement (hypertrophy of the kidney?). Does she excrete normal looking uric acid?

As for the longevity record, the only data I know of to access is Frank and Kate Slaven's page - http://www.pondturtle.com/welcome.html - which lists longevity records that they gathered about a decade ago. I don't know if there have been any updates to the data more recently.
