Help with very old Baird's Rat Snake

Does anyone have any ideas? I have a Baird's I hatched on 8/17/1978. She has in the last few months gained an enormous amount of what looks like water weight in her last est. 1/3 of her body. She has the typical stout look of a healthy rat snake up top but is massive and bulging down low. She has a healthy appetite, is definitely not overfed, and passes waste. My guess is early kidney failure. Any ideas? Also, I think the record age is 28. Does anyone have any idea the true record? Thanks, Jim
