Bump on my snake?

I know ive been on this board a ton already, but I noticed when handling my Rat today that he had 2 or 3 bumps/lumps on his left side. Its slightly milky colored and just exceeds his normal scales height. What could this be? a scale or two are bad? or rements of previous shedding? Any ideas, comments?
