splendida are found along the river all the way throughout their range. However, there is some degree of habitat partitioning between splendida and alterna (where you find one, you aren't as likely to find the other) therefore, few of them are found (everyone focuses on alterna habitat in the area).

I have never heard of a bairdi from the Xmas, but Werler and Dixon show a few records along what appears to be 170 even west into Presidio county.
