:If it has over 35 black blotches it's a western. Don't count the blotches on the tail, though! The heads are patternless and are usually sort of copper colored, more so on the easterns. Mine's a Western and has a copper head, though. How long hasn't it been feeding?
::Anyone know a good website on this snake? I need the marking count to know if it's east or western. also, it was eating f/t & live pinks and just stopped.This is the first one I've ever owned.Also, this snakes head is patternless,it's like a light purple.Is this normal? thanks in advance for any info. David
