Very good advice. If you can get a pic we could help you out a lot more. Common names can be deceptive. Some species have multiple names depending on region, and I've seen the same imported snakes come into shops under different names..i.e., G. jenseni aka, blacktailed ratsnake, Sulawesi ratsnake, Jenseni ratsnake. Just food for thought.
