Unfortunately, there is no such thing as an Egyptian Lyre (Liar) Snake (or at least, nothing that I have ever heard of/seen - and I am reasonably familiar with many North African/Middle Eastern snake groups).
It is probably one of two things -
Telescopus sp. - one of the African/European cat-eyed snakes. They are lizard eaters typically. Typically, dealers know the name of this snake and call it a cat-eyed snake of some sort or other.
Lytorhynchus sp. - these snakes have no accepted English common name (which would explain the made-up name "Egyptian Lyre Snake"). They apparently eat geckos and other species of lizards and their eggs.
I suspect what you have is one of the latter species, as they have shown up on import dealers lists with some alarming frequency in the last several months. I have seen a few posts here on Kingsnake.com forums about them.
Never buy an animal without doing the research first!
