Fasting is pretty typical of this species and not necessarily indicitive of the snake wanting to brumate or breed. At least that has been my experience. Both my male and female, as well as some of the hatchlings I sold last year, have fasted periodically. If they have good body weight, I wouldn't be too worried. Usually I can entice them to eat again by offering small, live food after several weeks of fasting. I have never brumated to get them eating again, so I'm not sure what length of time would be sufficient. If the temps are cool enough, my guess would be 4-6 weeks minimum.
