I would say that snake was about 3.5'. He was found under an old pool liner behind my house. It's a little odd, out of several hundred snakes I have seen in Ky this year, this was only the third live black rat I had come across. In a typical year I might see a dozen or so. I hope this doesn't reflect a downward trend in their numbers.
