where would a rat snake hide?

I have(had) 2 snakes 1 watersnake and 1 rat snake. Steve my rat snake got out of his aquarium while I was at work. I have looked everywhere but no Steve. Baby Steve the water snake is being a good boy and staying put. Steve was caught on a glue board and we brought him home and nursed him back to health and we have just started handling him. Any suggestions would be great. We miss him terribly. Dawn
