Thanks for the info. I'll get back later on this, but for now I'd say I'd like to see some info relating Lampropeltis to Elaphe. I always felt they were related, but distantly. I'm not sure I like the Biological Concept Level. I'd like to learn more about that. Are you saying they are related based on "closeness"?
I don't know much about any Old World hybrids. I'm just going by something I saw in Schulz' monograph. Maybe I should attempt some crosses with my species and see what happens. "Schrencki", to me, looks like it could cross with just about any of the species we're talking about, including American. More later, TC.
