blow snake today, would you know that I was in Michigan and had caught a bull snake, w. fox, and e. hognose snake, respectively. It's hard enough trying to use common names that appear in the literature and field guides. Locally colorful names might work when you're in the field in certain areas, but they are confusing when trying to communicate universally....IMHO....TC.
