Intermontana????????

Can anyone tell me why E.g.intermontana have been placed back into E.g.emoryi??????They are more visibly different to each other than say a "Common" carpet python to a "Jungle" or "Coastal" carpet python.So isn't that good enough reason to place them as seperate sub-spp like most other closly related reptiles?Your thoughts please.............
