You may want to start by handling him with leather gloves at first if his aggressive posturing bothers you. Often, once picked up they will calm down enough to allow handling. I wouldn't let anyone else handle him since he has proven to be a biter. My ratsnake would bite me too if I tried to "stroke" him. Nervous snakes don't want to be petted or even held. The best you can do is to learn how to make him believe that your hands are tree branches or some other inanimate object as you handle him. Handling snakes with pissy attitudes can be kind of an art :-)
