i just got a black rat snake which when handled in the shop was fine, but after the bus and train journey home it seemed a bit aggressive. i picked it out of the bag and was handling it, it seemed fine but then it just lashed out n bit my girlfriends brother. i didnt see what he did to it but he only sed he was stroking it. ive only had the snake a few hours now and since i put it in the tank i cant pick it back up again, it always looks assive it will strike at me, sometimes it rattles its tail too.
is this just because of the journey home it had (bus journey = lots of vibrations) and the new home or is this a permenant thing?
do i have a right to take the snake back?
