That segment was taped in Nepal, E. h. monticollaris only occurs in south-west India.
Another name he made up for it was "Gray's Rat Snake". I was not able to find that name anywhere. I realize that Jeff can't possibly know every species of every genus of animal he finds, but I thought that these guys do some research on the fauna of the area they film in before they go.
Actually, when he found the Krait, I had hoped it was an E. porphyracea, especially when I saw the bands, but the close-up didn't show any stripes. It would have been nice if he had found E. porphyracea, E. cantoris, or E. hodgsoni. Oh boy, I wonder what names he would have made up for them ;-)
