OK, this was 20+ years ago. Used to have these large rat snakes, which at the time I thought were yellow rat snakes based on a description in a kids' book on snakes, in the area of New Port Richey, Fl (Tampa Bay Area) and one I tried to catch that taught me not to do that in Hernando, FL (further north, not far from the Ocala Nat'l Forest). Both snakes looked exactly like the blotchless yellow/Glades rat shown on Kathy Love's page, but were more intense green. I've looked all over breeder's sites, but haven't found anything that's an exact match.
Any ratsnake gurus out there know if these guys are/were a locality morph of yellow rat?
