Do they normally get green on the sides?

The ones we found (one got my hand trying to catch it, which is where the stupid title came from =) were pretty intense green. Most of the yellow rat pics I see are either yellow looking like the large one in the post below or orange looking. Very pretty snakes. Wondering if anyone is breeding the green ones (and hopefully calmer ones).
