Question about a Leucistic Rat.

I just bought a Luecistic Rat Snake that I fell in love with at a pet shop. He seems to be a little nippy and nervous. Will this go away? I also noticed very tiny bugs around his face when I got him home. Is this mites? He is in a large tank with my other corns (at the suggestion of the pet shop owner). Is every corn gonna get mites now? I'm very new to all of this and I could sure use a little bit of help! Thanks!
