Hopefully there will be a surprise like that with S. Korean diones at my place in a couple years. I have it stuck in my head for some reason that lower temps in incubation tend to give more females. Maybe its just a myth. Of course, lower temps mean a longer incubation time which is not good. I think I made note of a couple breeders posting last year about starting the incubation at the low end of the temp range for a week or two and then bringing the temp up a few dgrees for the balance. One in particular was Walt Deptula who did this with a clutch of 4 eggs from his coxi. I recall he produced 2.2 from the clutch
of 4 eggs. Previous breeder clutches and other breeder clutches had produced heavy male ratios staying at the normal temp range throughout incubation. BTW - It looks to me like my wife has put claim (unofficial, lol) on the S. Korean diones I received from you a week and a half ago. She just loves them (I do too). She's been doing the husbandry on them (very good too I might add). She helps me alot with my snakes, but not for a particular one. All 3 diones have eaten 2 meals now. They tend to be out of their hide boxes more than my C. China diones so you're able to see them more. That should make them a great "pet snake" in addition to their other qualities.
