Remember that in parts of their range yellows do hold their juvenile pattern its just that they are so unattractive compared to the rest we are not used to seeing them. I'm expecting clutches from the f1 sister as well as 2 from outcrossed females this week. I just hope my lousy breeding year doesnt continue,Jeff

Hey Jeff the reason I asked was because I had orange phase TX rats that looked just like your odd yellow . I had bought from Don before he is quality guy anyway much success in your yellow project do you have any pic of that axanthic yellow ? p.s. keep us posted on your progress
