Derek: hey, I can see the sarcasm now, too (I'm kind of new at this). I can agree with you too on the fact that I'll call them Elaphe until someone reclassifies them. To viewers, in general, though, I'm pretty serious about Asian Elaphe, and I'm trying to find certain species including (rufodorsata). I have a theory that they're related to the miniature Eurasian ratsnakes, but can anyone say anything for sure who hasn't worked with them. I am just saying that until they ARE classified as something else other than elaphe, then I will call them ratsnakes. And no, i did not get what i wanted for Christmas....i still se no amel. elaphe situla under the tree. Derek
