There's been numerous discussions over the last year about the Texas rat snake temperment. I myself posted a followup that the Texas rat snake was one of the rat snakes most likely to strike. Well, my Guthrie Kentucky black rat snakes are the meanest snakes in my collection. I really love my black rat snakes. I have several pairs of Texas rat color morphs in my collection and am receiving some others this year including three w/c Texas rat snakes in the near future. Texas rat snakes and Bairdi are one of my favorite North American rat snakes ( I'm on a list for a pair of Steve Hammock's Mexican Bairdi). If you have the opportunity to add a Texas rat snake to your collection and don't excercise it, you are truly missing out on an exciting snake. Keep in mind that I am agreeing with Travis Grasha and I hate to admit it. Just my thoughts. I hope everyone gets alot of eggs dropped this year.
