another brindle black rat snake

The snake in the previous pic is from the brindle line, it just has more red than average. The snake pictured in this post is a clean, tan colored snake with reddish blotches. I have seen quite a bit of variation in the brindle line, this may be due to the genetic makeup of the founder stock. The brindle line originated from a wild caught snake captured in the state of GA, an area where it is possible to find assorted intergrades of the black, yellow, and grey rat snake.
