Tiger Ratsnakes are a very beautiful choice, however, I wouldn't recommend this species to a novice keeper. They are very flighty, and are not easy to control. They do make a great addition to any collection, though, so if you are experienced, and ready to take on the responsibilty, go for it! In my experience, they love to swim and/or soak, so a large water bowl is a necessity. Occasionally, it would be a good idea to let them soak in a large rubbermaid container, or something of the sort.
