I am going to revert back to my childhood and say they started it! Most of us know how the media has changed over just the last few years let alone 15 years ago. It has gotten so much more tabloid-like and it gives me a general feeling of vindictiveness (is that actually a word?).
But seriously now, how are we as outcast herpers going to make any kind of dent in the gigantor behemoth of media.
I have witnessed firsthand how a reporter can interview you making you think that the reporter is on their side of the issue. Then once they get the other side interviewed (usually the county,city, state or federal governments or agencies),
they leave half of your interview on the cutting room floor and make you out to be an idgit yahoo. In comparison,there's the interview of the government offical standing in a lab somewhere looking important and knowledgeable of the topic at hand. It a formaula for the media at this point. It tugs on our heart strings or makes us crazy in the head.
It makes me crazy in the head at times.
But again, screw the media and the horse they ride in on.
