Hi Wes,

this is even more frightening then the other one!
They don't have to care about salmonella but they should
watch out that the snake doesn't harm the kid.
There was a girl killed by a burmese ( you postet it, Wes )
a few weeks ago and at this time this organisation HSUS came
up with banning exotic pets from US homes and trying to convince
the public that there every private snake owner is sort of
pervent. Well, we have the same in Germany and pictures like these
with stories like the one with the girl arn't really helpful
for argumentation for keeping exotic pets !

I don't want to offend anybody but some of the people in the USA think
it is funny ( or something ) to keep large snakes in the house just
like a dog or a cat. A 12' burmese that lives with the family and goes to bed
with them...my goodness ! I can't blame anybody saying that there is a certain
risk and that this should be forbidden !
A snake like this isn't a normal pet and you sure can't control a 12' burmese
constricting a 3 year old child.
"The poor parents..." when something happens and the kid gets killed by the snake...
I have to admit I'd blame the parents and not the snake !

my five cents on this topic....

Cheers,
Wulf
