A pet store in my area has been selling painted turtles, at 4-7 inches lately. When asked, one of the salespersons revealed that these painted turtles were wild caught by an employee and traded for food/supplies. I know the size is legal but is it ok to sell wild caught painted turtle right out of the pond?
