Hello, I'm going to give you answers to your questions:
As far as the legality of the snakes, here it is:

: Northern pine snakes (Illegal unless you have an endangered species permit or a scientific holding permit.)

: albino northern pine snakes OK

: eastern Hognose snakes OK

: eastern coachwhips OK

: Large constrictors like green condas and reticulated pythons (Forget the Green Anacondas, they are illegal to posses in NJ. They were just put on the potentially dangerous species list. The other large constrictors are fine)

: royal diadem rat snakes Spalerosophis d. atriseps OK

: madagascan giant hognose snakes OK

: dwarf caimans (Nope! NG! Can't have them in NJ)

To be honest, I've read the pat few posts and we all should be permitting our animals. I do believe we should have the right to own what ever we want but we need to understand some of the reasons NJ uses the permit process and not only understand them, but follow them as well. All this talk about people coming in and kicking your door down is just total lies and false accusations by paranoid people (most likely keeping something they shouldn't) out to scare you. It's ridiculous! I started the society. The only reptile society in New Jersey and I did it with Fish and Wildlife's total knowledge and support. NO ONE HAS COME TO KICK MY DOOR DOWN! Fact of the matter is F & W have done nothing but help the society in some of its efforts and all the while no one from the dept. of F&W has asked for membership rosters or anything remotely close to it. We need to not be fearful of the regulations but abide by them and if "IF" we feel we need to have regulation changed, we can get together as a society "Many voices speaking as one" and help to facilitate the changes. One person complaining, "This regulation sucks and that regulation sucks" wont help the cause at all. In fact, it would only hurt it. That's why we have a society. That's why we all need to be members of the society. I know, I guess I'm bias but it really is a good cause. Take care,
: Before I put in my new permit application, I was wondering if any of you would be so kind to tell me the legality of the following snakes in NJ. I have heard many rumors on these, some of which I own:

: northern pine snakes
: albino northern pine snakes
: eastern hognose snakes
: eastern coachwhips
: large constrictors like green condas and reticulated pythons
: royal diadem rat snakes Spalerosophis d. atriseps
: madagascan giant hognose snakes
: dwarf caimans
